WHO ARE WE?
Established in 2015, Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter is a campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity Philippines that aids Habitat for Humanity International in reaching its shared vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We invite people from all walks of life to work together to build, educate, fundraise, and advocate on behalf of our mission to eliminate poverty housing and make decent shelter a matter of both conscience and action.
WHY JOIN US?
With approximately 4.5 million homeless people here in the Philippines, today more than ever, our nation needs our support in the eradication of poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter creates direct opportunities for its members to champion decent housing by working with and for our community partners to achieve a more inclusive and sustainable society. As a member, you’ll be provided with avenues to learn more about our advocacy and work on projects that benefit our communities. With us, you can discover more about yourself and your potential to effect change whilst serving an underserved sector because it is through shelter that we empower.
YEARLY PROJECTS
Advocacy Week
An end-of-the-year event that encapsulates the members’ advocacy journey, emphasizing action as advocates for decent housing.
UGNAY
A project that aims to assess Pasig 1 financially, physically, and environmentally in order to identify the underlying problems of the community members and provide sustainable solutions.
Kwentong Pamayanan
An avenue for HFH BC and its members to put their skills and expertise together to create and illustrate an educational children’s book and spearhead a book donation drive for the youth of Pasig 1.
Habitat Market
An online bazaar that aims to raise funds and awareness for HFH BC together with member-owned businesses, local small to medium enterprises, and items made by members of Pasig 1.
